Our Mediators

Helen Derry is a Partner and Head of the Family Department.

Helen became head of the family department in 2018 and now manages one of the largest family law practices in the East Midlands with over 100 team members over 18 regional offices.

With over 25 years’ practicing as a family law solicitor, Helen has gained considerable experience of all aspects of divorce and separation. Helen now specialises in family mediation having become an accredited mediator in 1999 and is trained to see children as part of the mediation process. Helen also specialises in pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Helen is accredited by the Law Society Mediation Panel and Resolution Specialist Panel. She is also a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer.

Andrea Inglis is a Family Mediator with over 25 years’ experience.

She practices solely as a mediator and is trained to see children as part of the mediation process.

Daniel Priest is a Partner, Solicitor, Accredited Mediator in our Mediation Department.

He is trained by Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). He is a Family Mediation Council accredited mediator. He mediates in matters involving both children and financial issues.

Daniel is a very experienced solicitor and mediator specialising in complex mediations involving high net worth clients with complex finances. He often works with other trained professionals in mediation to achieve a successful outcome.

Lisa Kellett is a Partner in our Family Team and Head of Matrimonial Finances.

With a notable 30 years’ experience, Lisa specialises in advising agricultural and commercial clients in relation to complex financial settlements and disputes arising out of divorce or separation. She also advises on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Lisa is a Resolution Accredited Specialist family lawyer (and chairperson of Lincoln Resolution), a qualified mediator and collaborative lawyer. She qualified as a mediator in 2016 and deals mainly with financial mediations to include complex high net worth mediation. Lisa also deals with children mediation.

Emma Lawler is a Partner in our Family Law Team.

She is a Resolution trained mediator and an accredited member of the Family Mediation Council (FMC). Emma is also one of very few mediators nationally who have trained to offer hybrid mediation. This type of mediation was developed to help couples who are engaged in high conflict or where there is an imbalance of power issues between the parties. Emma mediates in both financial and children cases.

Sarah Gill is an experienced Family Solicitor and Mediator.

Sarah is also trained by Resolution as a mediator. She is a Law Society Accredited Mediator, registered with the Family Mediation Council. She mediates on private matters involving both children and financial issues.

Ailsa Tennant is an Associate Solicitor in our Family Department.

Ailsa is also a Trainee Mediator and can provide advice on all aspects of separation including divorce, finances and private children matters.

Whilst at the University of Northumbria, Ailsa was awarded the Irwin Mitchell Pro Bono Scholarship to study mediation at The City University of New York. She was also awarded the David Grey Solicitors Award for the best performance in the Student Law Office Clinic.

Sarah Peat is a Mediation Co-ordinator.

Sarah takes clients through the mediation process and is the first point of contact.

Jo Morgan is a Mediation Co-ordinator.

She deals with mediation referrals, appointments and general enquiries. She offers administrative support for the whole team.
